The GentleYAG is the fastest and most powerful YAG laser on the market today. It effectively treats all skin types, including tanned skin, offering unmatched treatment capabilities in permanent hair reduction. The GentleYAG  features Candela’s patented cryogen cooling system.

With the GentleYAG laser we are able to remove unwanted hair from all skin types, including dark skin which previously could not be treated with laser.

Things to remember about laser hair removal:

1. Laser is effective on dark hair only. Blond, gray, red and peach fuzz hair will not be removed by the laser. For such cases, please consider waxing or electrolysis.
2. Actively tanning during laser hair removal treatments significantly increases adverse side effects, such as pigmentation, etc. We do not treat tan skin (including fake tan).
3. Unless directed otherwise, always shave the day of your appointment.
4. Periodic maintenance is required in order to maintain results. On average twice a year.
5. Results are individual. Some clients and some areas respond better than others. On average a 70-80% reduction in hair can be expected after 5 treatments.

Electrolysis

Maureen Schantz has been practicing electrolysis for 15 years. She and her staff of certified electrologists offer both thermolysis and blend methods, as well as laser hair removal, and maintain the highest medical standards.

Electrolysis is a proven means of permanent hair removal. The procedure is done over a series of treatments with a trained, certified electrologist. A free consultation explains exactly how electrolysis works, and then a treatment plan is devised based on the client's objective. We use only disposable needles in our treatments.

For pain-sensitive clients, AHA can recommend topical anesthetics. Further information about pain-free electrolysis is covered during the initial free consultation.
